A brief overview to this year Speed Climbing World Cups and Championship
The 2025 season is upon us, this year all athletes will see new venues and even new competition formats!
The trip around the world will start with some fast walls in Wujiang (CHN) and in Indonesia between April and May.
It will continue overseas in Denver (USA), where a Speed World Cup will be held for the first time, and for sure we will see a fantastic event in the city of the Nuggets, the 2023 NBA champions!
After one month we will move to Europe and we will stay there for a long time, starting with the debut of Krakow (POL) on July 5th as World Cup venue, passing through the world famous Chamonix (FRA) and finishing the month in Klagenfurt (AUT).
Then we will have two months to bring the best shape ever to the World Championships in Seoul (KOR), but apart from the official calendar, this year the 12th edition of The World Games will be held in Chengdu, China, from August 7 to 17. There will be a total of six medal events in the Speed discipline: Men's and Women's Speed 2-lane, Men's and Women's Speed Relay, and Men's and Women's Speed 4-lane - making its official debut in Chengdu and perhaps becoming the official format in future years?
